I've, uh, well, got nothing to put here......maybe a short story? Yeah, a 'fluffy' short story!

I always liked the dark.
It was safe, and warm, and scared off all the bullies in my life. And the dark always seemed to like me anyways.
I called the dark Mister, because he always wore a bowtie and a suit. His shoes always shone and his suit was perfectly tailored. The funny thing was, his tie always changed. It could be skull shaped, or be neon pink. Red or rainbow. It always made me smile though.
I never saw Mister's face. It was always shrouded in shadow and hidden by dark bangs. One day, I asked him if I could see his face. He responded with this, "If you are the sun, then I am the moon. Your beauty outshines mine, so I'd rather stick to your shadow instead."
Mister was a constant friend, even through high school and college. Even when I outgrew him and got a job and family...he was there.
Mister always skirted the truth. When I asked him things, he would always fire a question back instead of responding. I asked him why once, and this was how he responded, "I am a dark lie, while you are a bright truth. I cannot speak the truth, while you can speak nothing but."
When I got sent to the hospital for schizophrenia, he sat next to me and smiled. He made me laugh and made me forget about my fellow patients.
Mister stayed with me until I died, sitting in my room and humming as I slowly drifted from the world....
Then, suddenly, I was awake. Mister was there as well, looking happier than he had in ages. With that smile still on his face, he told me that he was, in fact, Death. He told me that I had cheated him so often that he started looking out for me....and he became my friend. Then, he told me the secret of the universe.
I'm Life. And this is what Death told me:
While Life is a beautiful lie, Death is an ugly truth.
