Noelle - Big News & Happy Halloween

Image
Hey everybody! I know it's not "my day" but whatever, IMMA GONNA POST ANYWAY. And before I start posting pictures:  BIG NEWS.  I chopped off all my hair again, because I was sick of having long hair...so...yeah...  That happened. So as I mentioned in my previous post , this is like, my favorite holiday of the year, and this year I dressed up as Lady Vader (or a fem! Darth Vader) I didn't actually go trick-or-treating, although I did go around our neighborhood once with a group of friends (who, ironically, were all Star Wars characters as well) I really enjoyed my Halloween costume this year, amusing parents and kids alike, dancing with music and being "dancing Darth", telling little Kylo's that I was proud of them, and just being a goofball.  I had a great time!! The other cool thing about hanging out and not trick-or-treating was that I got to meet a lot of the neighbors that I usually wouldn't, and apparently - get this - I have a fan club! ...

Kathleen - Fall Photography

Image
Hi readers from the interwebs! I'm so excited for Halloween! There will be a post next week of my night of fun, but since I can't do that now, I have been convinced to try and make a contribution to the art side of this lovely blog. So I'm gonna attempt it. Alright! I love photography. I always have. I don't have a super nice camera, which is driving me nuts, but I'm really hoping to get one in the near future. In the meantime, I love looking at pictures so I can practice with my phone and my decent, but not professional camera. Seasonal pictures are my favorite, along with engagement announcements and graduation pictures. I compiled a list of pretty fall pictures to show y'all! Lets just get right to it because there are a lot!

Jay - HORROR

Y'know, I'm bored. And when I get bored, I write. And guess what time of year it is? And guess whose teacher has been  doing a creepy stories lesson for the past few weeks? Thanks Edgar Allan Poe, for giving me the time and inspiration to terrify my readers! (Let's hope no one kills me for posting when I shouldn't!) (I might.  But that'd require work -Noelle) ~~~~~

Jay - Death Doesn't Discriminate On Whether I Sleep Or Not

Image
Raise a glass to me not being dead, guys! Yay.... Well, it's 11 and I'm tired as all hell, but let's spit out a post, kay? First off, sorry for not posting. School's been a drag and blogging isn't my main priority right now. So expect on again, off again posts from  moi-même . Oh yeah, and expect Hamilton references. Cus, thanks to Aaron McEvoy and Dyal (a public school friend), I have become Hamiltrash..... thanks guys. Thanks a whole friggin' lot.  Oh, and side note, I am now called John and Philip by most of my friends.....fight me. But other than that, my life has been pretty neat and orderly. :) How about a photo dump, to apologize for my absence? Good? Great! He's handsome and shy but as evil as Charles Lake. Judge him and death will become a good friend of yours.  :) snek boy is too cute for this world WIP MY NAME IS HERCULES MULLIGAN, UPPIN' IT, LOVIN' IT!! (Noelle: I swear the Hamilton fans are literally coming ou...

Noelle - The Halloween Post!

Image
I should have written this post earlier.... But I'm here now so be happy. So Halloween is right around the corner, and you might be surprised to learn that this is my favorite holiday of the year.  " But Noelle, " all the religious folk say.  " How could you celebrate the devil's birthday?"   *clears throat*  The devil, a.k.a. Satan, is a fallen angel, not part of Creation, so he doesn't have a birthday.  Also, Halloween was originally known as "Hallows Eve".  It was celebrating the day just prior to All Souls Day.  All Souls Day is a day that celebrates all of the saints of the Church.  I don't know where the myth about Satan's birthday started, you'd have to talk to the super religious folk. But anyway, today's the Halloween special post.  I think I'll do some homeschooling stuff next week! Focusing now... So I've had some pretty cool costumes over the years.  I couldn't find any pictures, but I was a blue j...

Trinity - Photo Fridays #3

Image
Hello Wonderful World of the Internet!!! This is post number THREE of Photo Fridays! I'm surprised I have kept up with it for three weeks... I would usually forget or just slack off and not do it. But hey, there is a first for everything!!! I hope all of you are liking my photos! If you are here is another photo just for you! Yes, you... no, no... not you. You! Yes, you, this one is just for you! I know you're going to like this one! BAM! PHOTO! The power of being an editor is amazing! Ok, back to the post... (I don't know why I'm being weird today...) The reason why I like this photo is because the subject is oblivious to the photo that is being taken. She is being no one other than herself. She is opening up her arms, embracing and loving the world around her. She is happy and doesn't need to be anything special because she has a camera pointed at her. The greenery really makes her pop and stand out. The greenery by its self is beautiful as well and the...

Pumpking Picking and Braeutigums Orchards - Kathleen

Image
Hi everybody! How are you? Gearing up for Halloween? I STILL don't know what I'm going to be. But I do have my pumpkin! It's a beautiful, perfectly round gourd of a pumpkin that is very excited to be gutted and carved into. I don't know what I'm saying. It's 9:30 pm. I should just start this. Basically, I took a bunch of pictures while pumpkin picking, so I thought, I can do a Day in the Life post! We go here every year to do our pumpkin picking and never fails to leave some memories. So here are my pictures and my day today. A little background on Braeutigums Orchards; Braeutigums has been in the Braeutigums family since 1831, but it wasn't until 1935 that they started growing fruit. They took their fruit to the St. Louis market, but didn't realize that the buyers wanted greener fruit. Rollin's (the owner) children told him to sell it right on his farm. Rollin didn't think people would want to drive a mile down a dirt road for fresh, tree ...

Noelle - Meh

Hi guys! I...was up really late last night, and it's starting to take its toll on me.  *deep yawn* *misspells every single word* Sorry I haven't been posting much interesting stuff, guys.  My brain has been focused on other stuff, mostly The Betrayers, school, and staying awake.  That kind of stuff. *yawn* So....yup.  I think beyond just a quick update on my life, I'm pretty much just going to take this week off and hope I can come up with a blogging idea before next Saturday. Let's see....next week is a big week for me, because A) it's Dead Week (a.k.a. first quarter exam week) and B) Tuesday is my birthday!  Yay, I've aged an entire year older than my ideal age.  I'm kidding, of course, I'm happy no matter how old I am, because my hobbies aren't age based.  I will be drawing with side walk chalk long after all my friends have babies and have tried to set me up with some guy. I don't even know, my brain is all over the place right now...

Jillian - A 626 Tuesday

Image
Hey hey! Finally... after a week... the Mac still hates me. >:( But after 3x the amount of time it should have taken me, I finally "completed" it :) P.S. Please excuse the hair in this video... didn't realize it until editing (and couldn't cut it out because of the Mac problem) so please bear with me... Onto the post!

Faith and Freedom Festival and the Funniest Guy EVER - Kathleen

Image
This is really late... sorry... :/ Hi beautiful lovely readers! Noelle convinced me to leave the fall theme for a while... so I am. Lucky for all of us (I would have had an awful post if not for this) I met lots of famous people over the weekend! Basically, there is this Festival called Faith and Freedom Festival near us, and my friend got VIP Tickets. Four of them. Guess who she asked to go with her. Noelle and I. I practically screamed when she asked us. There were several bands and a comedian, a rapper, and an acrobatic group there. The bands were We Are Vessel, Scarlet White, Set for the Fall, Finding Favour, and Seventh Day Slumber. Tim Hawkins was there, and if you don't know who he is, then you probably live under a rock. Tim Hawkins is a clean, Christian comedian and he is HILARIOUS! Q-Fyre was the amazing rapper and Kinetic Tapestry did some acrobatics. (Noelle: yes.  I'm here too.) With our VIP tickets, we got a picture with everyone, third row seats, and we...

Noelle - Dear Adults, Episode 1

Image
Hi guys!!! So today I want to try something completely brand new.  This blog is written by all teenagers, some soon to be adults - although I don't really get that.  Are 17 year olds supposed to wake up one day and be like, "Oh goodie, now I'm an adult!  Time to pay taxes, go to college, get a job, and search for a potential mate before my family buys me cats and/or tries to set me up with a snot-nose who's twice my age!" Yup.

Jay - Eh

Well, I'm not dead. Unhappily alive, but not dead. So, sorry for not posting last week. My life recently has been a big ol' mess as of recently. Some of you know I auditioned for the musical.....I was not given a part. I've also had personal issues, though they've kinda simmered down (hopefully). School has also been a jerk, what with Mom wanting me to look at colleges and what high school I'm going to next year and whatnot. So that's been happening. BUT THERE'S ALWAYS A SILVER LINING! My mom is letting me get an undercut, which is awesome (hoping she'll allow me to get my hair dyed too......fingers crossed!). If you don't know what an undercut is, then here's a reference: Thank goodness for supportive aunts..... :) But anyway, thanks for listening to my life problems! Lets hope my next post won't be so depressing! Bah-bye!

Hey hey! How are you lovelys doings today? I'm posting again without my video because the Mac still hates me... Anyway, onto the post!!

Fall Candles Reveiw - Kathleen

Image
My love for candles has slowly become an obsession... Hello my lovelies! How are you? Doing well, I hope? Good! So recently with school being super stressful, I thought that a lot of people would be feeling it with the homework and classes, and I thought I would review some things that really help me chill. Most of these are candles. Now I know that a lot of people MIGHT be sick of my rants on smelly things. Such as candles. Although I haven't done one on perfume and fragrance mist.... But imma do it anyway!!! So here we go! Leaves by White Barn. This one burns really well. It smells a bit spicy. The description says it has notes of crisp red apple, golden nectar, and cloves spice. I can definitely smell the cloves. It has this kind of scent picture that I imagine being apple picking on a sunny fall day with a cinnamon spice donut. Can you see how much I love it? I've only had it for like 5 weeks. 2. Pumpkin Cupcake literally smells like someone is baking....

Jillian - Tumultuous Thursday

Image
Hey hey!   So, quick update, I have a speed painting filmed, music, and everything but at the moment iMovie is deciding that I want to watch/edit my video at 1/4 the speed it's supposed to be... yeah, not very happy about that... But for sort of a make up post, here is my Spotify Disney Halloween Playlist !!   Oh, and I'll give you a little sneak peek at my Halloween costume idea. Which, yes, does involve Disney (Of course!) and this year Boomer and K.C. Yay!

Anna & Noelle - READER AND WRITER INTERVIEW!!!

Hi guys!! It’s Noelle, your head blogger!  Most of you probably saw the post I wrote two weeks ago with Jay Blank (hi Jay!)  If not, here’s a nice little link for you guys.  Y’all like links, right?  Anyway, today I am doing a post with the lovely Anna Leah!  Wanna say hi, Anna? Hello Interwebbers!!! So ya thought I forgot to post on Thursday did ya?! Well, actually, I did… But this makes up for it, right? Right. So today, we’re going to do a 2-way interview between a reader and and a writer (I suppose I’m the writer?) Anna, how about you start us off and ask me your first question? Okay! So, when I read a book, it doesn’t take much effort for the words to turn into a sort of movie in my mind! How do you make sure you’ve gotten it just right, even though you’re used to the words on the page?

DIY Fall Frame

Image
Doesn't everybody love a cute frame of fall stuff? Hi lovely readers?! How are you? Lovely? GOOD, I'm glad! So I thought today I would show you a super cute easy DIY using things you can find in your own backyard! Here are the supplies: Colorful Leaves Sticks (optional) White frame White Paint (optional) Paint Brush (foam) And directions might be necessary. So first you need to collect your leaves and possible sticks. Then, if your cardboard back to the frame is brown, you can paint it white. If you want to leave it brown, you can, I just like white more. I also left mine a little streaky because I thought it looked a little cool rustic. While you are doing this step, leave your leaves in the freezer. It will essentially freeze the color in place so they won't fade as quickly. Next, arrange your leaves how you want them. I let some have over the edge of my white border, and some I tucked under. Slip the glass over. Be careful, this is the step were you c...

Noelle - What to Do When an Essay Says 'Screw You'

Image
Somewhere, In a distant land, probably the living room, my mother is being scandalized by my language in this blog post title (sorry mom)  Anyway, today we are going to talk about that essay.  Yes, that one.  The one where you read the prompt and just want to repeatedly slam your head against the desk because you already know that this essay is going to be the dullest one in the history ever. :( No, today is not a complaining post (although my brain and wacked up emotions want it to be).  Today, we're going to go through the steps to...well, maybe not ROCK this essay, but at least survive it. Alllllrighty. Step 1:  Write an outline Yes, I know, outlines suck. But this will make fleshing out your essay much easier.  Find out your essay's word limits and assign each paragraph a number of words.  This will help, trust me.
