Meta post from Meta People about Strange Doctors

Image
Helloooooo everybody! Noelle in dah house, I’m back with another Marvel prep post, except it’s not my man B.P. (somebody do some fan art of Tony referring to Black Panther like this).  It’s also not the All-New All-Different Avengers (sad face) nor is it for Netflix’s new show Iron Fist (and since I’m going for world record of most tangents in one intro, Iron Fist was good but is now bloody.  Go watch some trailers and dream of fan-made RMS shows.) Nope, today we are talking about a doctor. NOT YOU.  Go on, get off this post.  Maybe next time, time travelling sarcastic space alien, maybe next time. YES PLEASEEEEE Shh!  That wasn’t your cue, go back down in the basement with the other IBFs authors.  *hiss* :( Sorry ‘bout that.  Nothing to pay attention to.   No, today we are talking about Marvel’s one and only Dr. Strange.  And I say one and only, but really there’s been many versions of Dr. Strange… just...

Adventures with Kids

Hey everybody, it's Noelle!  I...reallllllly don't have the energy to do a full on post.  But!  I do have the energy to write some posts for a different minor blog (one which I will not link on here, because you've gotten enough advertising as is), so I was like, you know what, I'll just sneakily copy and paste....they won't notice. And if you don't know, now you know Mr. President. So without further ado, I present: ADVENTURES WITH KIDS (episodes one through four)

Homecoming

Image
Hello, hello, hello! So Spider man: Homecoming is coming out soon, and I decided to write a post on it. Like every other blogger here....lets hope I at least get some notice.....which is unlikely. But any who, the newest installment in the new set of standalones promises to be a good one. (Though I'm still waiting for Captain Marvel and Inhumans) The movie is centered around 15-year old Peter Parker (played by Tim Holland), a nerdy high school student that.....it's well liked. When I said that, you probably imagined tall, blonde, jockey Flash Thompson, right? Well, you're kind of wrong. In this reimagining in the MCU, Flash is a snobby rich kid played by Tony Revolori. Finally, some representation! Some other new characters are Michelle, one of his classmates, and Ned. Ned is played by Jacob Batalon and is basically Peter's best friend. Also one of the few people to know about his powers. And, of course, there's MJ- wait. No. There's no Mary Jane...

Spider-man in the MCU!

Heyyyyy people!  'Tis I, Clarissa, and I have been summoned from the depths of schoolwork and avoiding blog posts to greet you! Why, you ask? *Fuzzy comm sounds* "I have been summoned. My time has come." ........Noelle posted about Spider-man: Homecoming. .....I freakin' love Spider-man: Homecoming. And it hasn't even come out yet! I completely share Noelle's enthusiasm for this movie. I hope she also realizes that this means it is inevitable that by posting about it, she has invoked my name, making me follow up on it with another post about a different aspect of Spider-man. Because that's how we fangirls roll. If you haven't read Noelle's introduction to Spider-man: Homecoming, please make sure to first check out her post here: Spiderman: Homecoming (Prep Post)  She does a great job getting you familiar with the character and history of Peter Parker. Today, I'll be elaborating on a very common misconception concerning Spid...

Spiderman: Homecoming (Prep Post)

Image
Hey everybody! It's Noelle, your friendly neighborhood fangirl, and today we are going to discuss something that nobody requested and I decided to write on my equivalent of a drunk night (eating icecream, drawing, ignoring circadian cycles, and making bad blogger/life decisions)  But hey!  I know one of you who will like this (looking at you Clarissa) at least a little bit, so grab those webshooters and pulling on your CGI mask because today we’re talking about Spider-Man:  Homecoming. I may have been watching too much Game Theory.  Sorry, MatPat, didn’t mean to steal your narration style. Anywho, back on topic.  I did a post somewhat like this last year as a Civil War prep, because let me tell you, I was THRILLED for Civil War.  You can check out that post here , if you want to see me predict the future (I saw that Black Widow twist coming from a mile away, y’all)  When trying to track down that post for the link, I also came across these...

A Buttload of Shameless Self Adverstising

hi! Three guesses who's writing this, since we no long put our names in the titles.  ...haha no it's still theChalkGirl.  (hello?  Anybody?  ....welp) So I wish I could say this is a Dear Adults post, or something fabulous and similar to such, but...it's not.  HOWEVER Dear Adults is the main reason I'm posting, and I have exactly fourteen minutes to write this before 'electronic curfew' begins so...let's dive in, shall we?  Good. Alright, let's get the actual adverstising out of the way first (I'm sorry.  But hey, now you can stalk me on MULTIPLE platforms!) My Google+ page  (I post sketches, writing prompts & tips, chalk art, and monthly contests!) My Wattpad account (I'm posting my book series RMS on there bit by bit, we're about 1/2 through the first.  You'll like it, so go check it out) My YouTube channel (will become important later in this blog post) My other blog  (cute comics about wimpy mythical creatures) My o...

600

So um...I feel like I should be all happy and energetic, because WE JUST HIT 600 POSTS!!!  Who am I kidding, this is pretty dang cool.  I know that IBFs isn't quite as lively as it always has been (*cough cough* 365 Days Challenge *cough) but it's definitely still pretty cool, and I hope that our bloggers stick around for 700.  Maybe even 1000....which begs the question...does Blogger have a post limit?  I feel like this is something we should research......nah.

What Parents Say v. What Parents Mean

Hello! I'm back, I'm alive, and I'm doing a bit better! Yay, writer's block is slowly retreated. Back beast, back! * sprays with holy water * Anyway, that's all I have the energy to say, so let's get onto the actual post: Ah, parents. We love ‘em.  At least, I hope we do.  It’s be a very sad world if we didn’t love our parents.  And there’s a dedicated vocabulary for parents to use that every kid under the sun knows the true meaning of.  Here’s the ones that I’m most familiar with - tell me in the comments, do your parents use these words?  No? Yes?  Maybe?  Sometimes? Are you going upstairs?   Here’s something I want you to carry upstairs. When you go upstairs....   You’re going to get something for me from upstairs, but I’m going to make it sound like you’re doing me a favor Go get the mop/broom/vacuum.   You’re going to mop/broom/vacuum up this mess that someone made (it was probably you) Is this your stuf...
