I'm Sorry (Emotional Crud + Funny Comics)

Image
Hey y'all! It's Noelle, back again with another fascinating post.  (Note that sarcasm on 'fascinating'.  Didn't hear it?  Better get your ears checked because it was loud as heck). Now, I know my posts are usually pretty lighthearted or...uh...bloodthirsty.... ( *sweats nervously* ) but today is going to be a but more personal and emotional that normal.  However!  The title was not clickbate!  There will be funny comics at the end to cheer you up, I promise.  So let's get started and get the emotional crud out of the way. A lot of people don't know about this, because I never talk about it or write about it, but it's something I want to say.  I'm... Pretty much a mess. "Haha aren't we all," I hear you muttering and you're probably right.  We all have our own personal struggles and everybody has demons that they must wrestle into submission every day.  For me, it's my own self worth and identity as a person, as a daughter of Go...

Life Update (I nearly died of exhaustion)

Hey guys! I'm still RVing, actually, and am typing this up on an iPad with a slow wifi connection, so forgive me if this post is sub-par.  I'll talk more about my RV trip in a separate post, and it will be a looooong post (*evil laughter*) but for now, let's just go ahead and get started! As I mentioned in my post, Placeholder, I've been So.  Insanely.  Busy.  For the last month and a half, I've been going at what feels like a non-stop pace, and I'm glad to say that once my trip is over, so is the rush.  Finished, just in time for the new school year.  Yay. It all started when Dad had to go and get promoted like ugh the nerve of him (I'm kidding, by the way.  In case that wasn't clear.  Mad respect, Dad). And I wouldn't have minded, except that it lined up with some of our friends (with two kids that were babysat by yours truly) coming in, staying the night, then leaving.  And then we had some more friends (THREE KIDS!!) come in, ...

The Race Has Started!!!

Image
Hi guys!! It's Elena again!!! The Race just started! I will be explaining the games, and stuff, and spirit points, and other random stuff. It was wild. I have pictures!!! I will also be explaining that game. That one was my favorite. It's called American Eagle

Air Show

Hey everybody! It's Noelle, your favourite randomness expert.  Today’s random topic is:  you know how when you get off school in the spring and say, “Oh good, I’m going to have so much time to relax this summer!”  And then... stuff just... pops up out of nowhere, like schedule dwarves or something. Yeah that’s my summer so far. Still enjoying it though!

The Race!!! -Elena

Image
Greetings from England! Elena here! Today I will be taking about something VERY special. It is called The Race, and it is a HUGE deal here at RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheth. It is not what you probably think it is. This is not a normal race. This is The Race. Not a foot race. Not something to see who is the fastest, or who comes first. This is a competition between four teams made up of the high school  Youth Group, and the middle school Youth Group. Team Green, Team Yellow, Team Blue, and Team Red. All made up of a mix of Highschoolers and Middleschoolers. I'm on the red team. :) They all compete with each other in various games, this is my first year and I'm not exactly sure on what all they do, but it looks very interesting. Last night we did the Race Lottery, which is when you find out what team you're on. We (my brother and I), got there late so there wasn't any seating room for us, so we just stood there. we had to turn in our Race regis...

Hi People!!!

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been posting but we've been really busy lately. For those who don't know I just moved to England. It's a pretty good place but I'm still missing NJ. We've been here for about two months, and now we live at this one story house (which is rare in England) on the edge of this adorable little countryside village. There are horse farms within walking distance from our house.  The things I miss doing the most are Drama Lamas (my drama group) and Sod Squad (my 4-H club). We are slowly settling in. My Youth Group (Camps Life) has this thing that they do every summer called The Race, though it's not a foot race (more on that in a different post). That's all for now, today was really crazy. We just moved in and my room is filled with boxes. I don't have any pictures of England to show you now, but I will post some later. :D sorry for the really short post. Love ya guys! Stay awesome!!!

Elena - Meet Doodles

Hey!! This is about my cat Doodles! I thought that I might share her story with you guys.  It is 100% true. This is the story about how she came into our family. Enjoy!

Photo Time (Friday Gets Hijacked)

Image
Sup! It's your FAVORITE Saturday blogger, a.k.a...the only Saturday blogger :(  Funnily enough, it's not actually Saturday...it's just me, covering for Jay...since she's gone, at camp.  :D (Anna: Ooh! I wanna hijack Friday too! Prepare for the comments...) (Jillian: *GASP* Anna is hijacking Noelle hijacking Friday's post!!! I want to too!!!! :P) Anyway , so most (okay, all) of you know that I just moved from New Jersey to St. Louis, Illinois.  I won't go into detail, I just want to show you the pictures...because reasons... Boxes...lots...and lots...of boxes...sigh. (Anna: I understand, friend. Boxes = EVIL)

Noelle - Day 296 (Military V.S. Civilian)

Image
Hi everybody! Sorry about that whole disaster of a post yesterday with Bucket Head.  He has a tendency to steal unwatched electronics.  :D So I was thinking about my move and that sort of thing and realized...normal folk don't talk like us military brats.  And we barely even notice, usually. I first figured this out in geometry class a few days ago when I mentioned something about my move and everybody (including my teacher, Mrs. B - we luv you Mrs. B, stay awesome!) go "huh??"  And I was like...wait.  You guys don't understand a word I'm saying, do I?  So yeah.  What do military people say, versus what do civilians say?

Jay- Day 292 (The Story Of My Life!)

Hi, it's your amazing, team tony forever, fandom obsessed writer Jay here with another awesome post! And yes Noelle, I had to add in a cool description. So yeah, heres some randomness about me, my life and some other stuff you probably won't care about. Shall we begin? So yeah, I was in the musical at my school this year. We did the The Lion King Jr. . I played everyone's favorite 'majordomo' Zazu! We've been rehearsing for about 3 months, since November I think. (I am horrible at math) We did six performances and they were AWESOME! Everyone that saw it, including Elena, said it was really good. The only thing that was bad was the fact that there was hardly any air conditioning and I was wearing about a pound.d of makeup, a huge headpiece, and a felt costume with wings. I might post some pictures, sooner or later. I, sadly, am also moving, like two other fellow bloggers. But do not fear, your amazing blogger has a plan! I think I'm moving somewhere in ...

Noelle - Day 288 (Major News)

Image
Hi everybody! So I don't actually have a ton to post today, but I wanted to let y'all know of two things going on in my life that I consider very important.  The first, which is most definitely not  as important, is I have decided on my mid-year cosplay!  (my friends on G+:  thank goodness!) I know I mentioned it before now (I think...did I?) but I posted a poll on google+ with three options:  Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff; fem. Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier; and fem. Captain America/Steve Rogers.  Well, not only did Scarlet Witch win in the polls, but I also thought about it, and with so much going on, she'd be the simplest to do.  Maybe Captain America for Halloween and Bucky Barnes for my next cosplay?  (actually, I have a fem. Hawkeye costume that totally isn't a Jessie Willow cosplay at all) Anyway.  My upcoming cosplay for the year: WANDA MAXIMOFF!! What do you think?? Note:  I will not be doing the original comic costum...

Noelle - Day 281 (Life Currently)

Image
HIIIIIIII EVERYBODY!! How are you on this fantabulous Tuesday?  It is Tuesday, right? *frantically checks and makes sure I don't have the date wrong* Okay, yeah.  Fantabulous Tuesday. So I realized I haven't really given you guys a good update on my life in who knows how long.  Therefore...update on life! School has been a bit stressful lately, between Dead Week (3rd Quarter Exams are killer y'all) and trying to juggle my increasingly demanding hobbies (writing, blogging, 4-H, etc.) with my also demanding responsibilities.  My dad just left on a 10 week school trip (military kids know what I'm talking about) and so it's just my mom, my grandmother (say hi MawMaw!) and I chilling in the house. Although grey days are never fun, they do have fantastic sunsets...which is why I love late winter/early spring (Mom:  SHUSH YOU'RE GOING TO JINX IT)

Noelle - Day 240 (Thoughts on a NJ Drive)

Image
Hi guys! I have nothing but strange thoughts and wonderings today, plus previews for two art pieces that I'm going to scan in soon! Here's those previews: That's all I'm going to show for now (those are my basis pictures).  I think they turned out good, and new fan art coming soon! And now, back to the usual strange thoughts.

Noelle - Day 209 (Bad Poetry)

Ello! Okay I'm known for being a good author and writer.  But really, poetry is not my gig.  I mean, I write poetry occasionally when I'm REALLY out of ideas or something.  Or when I have too many ideas.  One or the either. But I'll admit.  This isn't my best work. Here's to the crazies The ones who's sanity Is a little bit hazy Here's to the fangirls The readers The live-rs The ones who with they could do more than just watch The ones who live a thousand lives The ones who wish the authors would take it up One more notch Or one notch less Here's to the writers The poets The authors Who know the pain of not knowing What happens next Here's to the bloggers Who work day and night Hoping someone might notice What they did right Here's to the artists The painters For every great piece There's a "scrub that stain off your shirt" The sketchers For all good art There's a "y...

Noelle - Day 186 (Q&A)

Image
Hi guys! Did you have a good Christmas?  I certainly hope so! You may notice that the blog has been revamped.  It's not much, just a background change and a color switch, but I hope you guys like it. So I was bored the other day and I wrote a list of questions that I (me, Noelle Matherne) am really tired of being asked. Literally, whenever I mention that I'm homeschooled: soooo how do you socialize?  Do you have friends?  No, I sit at home all day, doing nothing, and totally not messaging my friends in Ohio, Florida, New Jersey, Italy, and Idaho.   Not at all.  Nope. This does't really apply to me now, because I grew my hair our, but: Why is your hair so short? I don't know, why are your shoes pink?  Because REASONS. Military life: so...where are you going next?  I don't know.  My dad doesn't know.  The military doesn't know.  Why are you asking me. Okay, you guys might not get this one, but I'll say it anyway: what ...

Noelle - Day 185 (10 Things I've Learned from being a Military Kid)

Image
Sorry for the long post name. As you might guess, today we're going to talk about ten things I've learned in my childhood military career.  Comment if you relate (or if I forgot something). "Brat" is not necessarily a bad description of someone Nothing lasts forever, so enjoy it while you can Good friends take work (if they don't take work, they're not good friends) No wall color is more ugly than that off white color Self checkout is easy to use {except its not} People have literally no idea how the military works...like...none...at all. Be inside at 5 o'clock or suffer the dire consequences You can't pack up a house in a single day.  No matter what the professional packers say. Normal people stand up for the national anthem at the movie theater Artillery fire and tanks in the streets are totally bad things (unless you don't live on base...) Some more things I decided not to include in my official list: "hm, that plane is ...

Noelle - Da 178 (RMS and EXCITMENT!!)

HELLO!!! I AM SO HAPPY!!!  Why? Well, first of all, I have a candy cane right now...and candy canes make everything better.  And so does lemon zinger tea.  Which I happen to also have right now. Second, the week is over, and I survived!  RMS is BACK!!! And thirdly, there's a Park Day tomorrow.  Don't know what a Park Day is?

Noelle - Day 169 (Park Day Photo Dump!)

Image
Can you believe it? It's been like 170 Days since we started this challenge of 365 Days, which by the way, was totally not a good idea!  Anyway, 170 Days!!!  About 200 Days to go!  Lol. If you don't know what this challenge I'm talking about is, you can check out the "365 Days Info Page" at the top of this page - it's the tab that says "365 Days". Anyway, we just had a SUPERboring RMS Marathon  (if you're new, you can check out the RMS info page as well...we have a page for everything!!!) and I promised some photo dumping after said RMS Marathon.  Which I apologize for ahead of time.  :P  On this particular day, I have a bunch of photos which I should have posted a year ago, but didn't.  And I kept just putting it off...and putting it off...and so forth. NJ Readers:  remember the last gym class of the 2014-15 season?  Vaguely?  I had a broken collar bone and we went to the park instead of the gym?  Now the light bulb is...

Noelle - Day 129 (I Came, I Ate, I Left a Mess)

Image
Hello! So as all the kids my age in the homeschool group now know, I'm fourteen!  YEAH!!!  And as most of the kids my age in the homeschool group now know, I had a KILLER birthday party!  We had an ultimate Mariokart battle (guess who won?  Answer: yours truly over here!), halloween costumes, and best of all, a photo booth!  Which is where I got all these photos from.  :) You ready for this?  Cuz I'm going to dump them on you in three...two...one...

Information Blast!

So this is one of my... "Boring text posts" but I have to post because there is SO much information I need to get out there.  I'm like overloading right now. 1 - You'll notice that I updated the look of the blog a little bit.  There's a "side bar" on the left now with a couple photos.  Feel free to explore them - I'll probably add some more soon.  Anyway, if you click on them, they'll link you to info on that photo. 2 - Don't forget to scroll down after reading a post!  There's all kinds of cool stuff that you can do, including adding your reactions, comments, and seeing who and where that post was posted. 3 - Speaking of scrolling down, be sure to take a look at the bottom of the page when ever you glance at the blog.  If you take a look, we have some pretty awesome gadgets down there, so take a look! 4 - At the TOP of the page directly under the blog title is an email box with a little button that says "submit" next t...
