Time to Get Spoopy!

Image
Hello! If you're reading this, you've probably noticed that our blog has got a bit of a change of theme!  That's because it's Halloween, age of skeletons and cheap candy :D I'm mainly writing this post to give special thanks to  +Lily Griffin , who took the background photo for our Halloween/October theme!  Her photo is definitely appropriately spooky :P  If any of you guys want to have a picture used as a background, just let me know (pssst we'll be needing one for Christmas) I wanted to find something Halloween themed and instead I found this sassy skeleton :| Yeah, this was a pretty short post... hrm.  Hope y'all have a great day and if you still celebrate Halloween, let me know what you're going as!  Or have you grown sad and boring and decided you're, "Too old for Halloween, I'm not going to dress up, I'm just going to wear a super hero tshirt and demand free candy,"?   Tell me in the comments! Byyye~  *rides off i...

Hello internet world. It's Elena, and I'm here to tell you about one of my favorite books. I will give you the introduction to the book so that you'll understand it, and then all the pictures. This is a writing prompt book before most writing prompts were found on the internet. This book is also a family favorite, I hope you enjoy the story. There are writing prompts for fiction writers, horror writers, and more. Each picture will have a caption underneath from the book. I hope you enjoy the post! Now, to Harris Burdick

Hey everybody! It's Noelle, your favourite randomness expert.  Today’s random topic is:  you know how when you get off school in the spring and say, “Oh good, I’m going to have so much time to relax this summer!”  And then... stuff just... pops up out of nowhere, like schedule dwarves or something. Yeah that’s my summer so far. Still enjoying it though!

March for Life and Faith Vloggy Bloggy- Kathleen

Image
I don't actually know when I last posted.... 2 weeks ago?? Anyways, I'm back, hopefully for a while. I'm not planning on making any surprise trips anywhere for the next couple of months. So I'm doing a Vloggy Bloggy today, as you can see by the title. I could be a bit long so lets just get started. I took a class early on Tuesday morning and then we picked up the boys to drive for two whole days from Swansea, IL, to Manassas, VA. I'm sure they were thrilled to be spending all that time with us in a car. We drove all day, then stopped in Lexington, KY overnight. We slept super well, the beds were really comfy. And although we didn't bring swimwear, the pool there was HUGE! Maybe 50 meters!  But their workout room was actually kind of funny. In the pictures, they had all this cool stuff, but in real life, they had a treadmill. That was it... kind of a let down because I was TOTALLY going to use it... right? Anyways, we hit the road again the next day after...

Well That's a First!! - Kathleen

Image
Hi. I'm back. Sorry for the disappearance, I really hope you didn't send out a search party. I've been in New Hampshire for the past week. My grandma died so we went up for her funeral. Your prayers, thoughts, and condolences are greatly appreciated. This post is going to be a bit different, kind of like a story-time. So just stick with me. So on Wednesday, January 4th, we had a flight out of St. Louis to Baltimore at 8:30 am. We got to the airport on time, thanks to the help of our friends. They got up super early (like 5 am) to drive us so we all good to go. Our flight out to Baltimore went well, there were some cool clouds. We caught our connection to Manchester and drove up to my grandpa's house. Everything went well, we had great weather. The adventure started on the way back, yesterday. Our flight out of Manchester was set for 4:10 pm, so there was really no way we could miss the flight of our own fault. My family left my grandpa's h...

Just a Little Chat - Kathleen

Image
Hi guys! How are you? I'm good. So I didn't plan anything for today, which is kind of nice, because now we can just sit down and have a chat! I haven't done that since August! So I've been going to Christmas concerts and recitals lately. At our Masterworks concert, there were 800 people. I didn't think that many people could fit inside the church we were at, but apparently it was standing room only. We got a standing ovation. Christine Brewer sang with us, and I was over the moon. I was literally in tears. One of the families in our homeschooling group is moving soon, I think the movers are coming the 27th, which is a bit of a bummer because they have some little ones who won't get to enjoy the Christmas presents. So I went to their going away party yesterday and I'm also going to "hang out with/chaperone" their daughter, my sister, and their friends at the mall on Friday because they are doing a scavenger hunt. I've always wanted to do o...

Cahokia Mounds and Christmas Market - Kathleen

Image
Good morning! Good afternoon! Good night to you! I dont' know when you are reading this... so yeah... How are you? Did you have a good Thanksgiving? I hope you stuffed yourself silly and then realized what a bad idea that was. I know I was waddling around until I fell asleep... So I have another vloggy-post for you. On Black Friday, my sister, my mom, and I went to Cahokia Mounds (more later) and went to the Lighting of the Christmas tree and opening of the Christmas Market in downtown Belleville, IL. It was super cool. So, as you can see, in Fairmont City, (where Cahokia Mounds is) fall is almost over. The leaves are all gone. I took several panoramas because it was such a cool spot for it. You could really see everywhere. We could even see St. Louis. Which isn't surprising because you can see STL from a church right near my house. So history on Cahokia Mounds. Cahokia Mounds is a preservation of the mounds of an ancient Indian race. The Indian central city...

Kathleen - Fall Photography

Image
Hi readers from the interwebs! I'm so excited for Halloween! There will be a post next week of my night of fun, but since I can't do that now, I have been convinced to try and make a contribution to the art side of this lovely blog. So I'm gonna attempt it. Alright! I love photography. I always have. I don't have a super nice camera, which is driving me nuts, but I'm really hoping to get one in the near future. In the meantime, I love looking at pictures so I can practice with my phone and my decent, but not professional camera. Seasonal pictures are my favorite, along with engagement announcements and graduation pictures. I compiled a list of pretty fall pictures to show y'all! Lets just get right to it because there are a lot!

Trinity - Photo Fridays #3

Image
Hello Wonderful World of the Internet!!! This is post number THREE of Photo Fridays! I'm surprised I have kept up with it for three weeks... I would usually forget or just slack off and not do it. But hey, there is a first for everything!!! I hope all of you are liking my photos! If you are here is another photo just for you! Yes, you... no, no... not you. You! Yes, you, this one is just for you! I know you're going to like this one! BAM! PHOTO! The power of being an editor is amazing! Ok, back to the post... (I don't know why I'm being weird today...) The reason why I like this photo is because the subject is oblivious to the photo that is being taken. She is being no one other than herself. She is opening up her arms, embracing and loving the world around her. She is happy and doesn't need to be anything special because she has a camera pointed at her. The greenery really makes her pop and stand out. The greenery by its self is beautiful as well and the...

Trinity - Photo Fridays #2

Image
Hello Wonderful World of the Internet!!! The second post of the Photo Fridays is here!!! I have a feeling I will really enjoy this... Anywho!!! Here is your photo. This is a photo of my own that I took at a sleepover I went to recently. This photo is of one of my friends. Being at a sleep over we decided to do makeup. Red lipstick being the choice for the lips. This photo is great because it keeps you guessing as to what is hiding behind the red lipstick and beautiful hair. The red lipstick really pops in the black and white photo, this makes the subject stand out in a different way, other than just being the person in the photo. That's all I have for this photo! If you think I'm missing anything, than please, comment down below!!! Stay awesome internet!!!

Trinity - Photo Friday #1

Image
Hello Wonderful World of the Internet!!! I haven't really posted on this blog yet. I posted once and that was simply an introduction to me. Part of the reason I haven't posted is because, I didn't know what to post about. I just couldn't think of anything to post. I looked at ideas online, I asked friends, looked through other blog posts. Nothing. The other reason you may ask... Time. I had no time. My calendar was full and I didn't have any time to think and brain storm. Now, the reason I have finally found something to post about is because of my love for photography. I, very recently, got a really good camera I can use to take the photos I want to. I thought that I would post a photo every Friday. I will say that I might not be able to post EVERY SINGLE FRIDAY! There is life on the other side of the screen you're reading so things may come up. I will try to post as often as possible though. If I wasn't able to take and post photos of MY OWN I wil...
