Hello

It's me, An author on writer's block. As I talked about recently , I just finished my first trilogy.  I'm not really one to suffer from writer's block, usually, and I don't think that's the right word to use.  After all, I got started on a new book almost immediately after finishing RMS, and I'm still writing on a regular basis. You probably noticed I skip my regular Saturday post, because I had nothing to say.  I keep finding myself wanting to say something but everything's gone from my lips, from my fingers...I feel like I've got nothing left. The problem is I'm having trouble finding that moment of inspiration, that flame that drives me, and the only thing that keeps me interested is well...my obligation to keep it up.  As a blogger who's worked for years to keep blogging, a writer with a reputation for deep emotion in all my work, an artist with talent for beautiful peices, I'm scared to move on, but I'm also scared to stay...

Society Has Confused Me

Society has confused me. How is it that, When a woman is hurt by a man it is assault, Yet when it is a woman hurting a man it is punishment? How is it that, when a woman covers her hair she is dangerous, But a woman that shows her skin is a disgrace? How is it that, in school we learn lessons, On mathematics and english, But life teaches up better words, better equations? How is it that. the pigment in our skin, Which we are but unable to control, Controls our daily lives more influentially than, Our leader? How is it that, People cry when their blood dies, Yet can turn and scream, “Murder!”, At someone who believe in a god, different than the one that they hold sacred? Society has confused me, With their twisted, backwards ways. It has taught me lessons that should not be taught. Lessons of war and murder, Taught by the hands of people who know better the bloodstains on their hands, Invisible as they are, Tha...

Noelle - I Haz No Energy

I was planning on just skipping today's post. (you know it's bad when Momma Blogger is planning on skipping a post) I was kinda all like, "Ehh, nobody reads this blog, it's not important, heck, I could probably disappear for a month and nobody would notice."  Which...is most likely true.  It's kinda just the sad truth.  However, I eventually decided that if I decide to throw away a post or two out of sheer laziness, then the world is collapsing, the sky is falling, and hell has finally frozen over. But beyond just me stubbornly sticking to my Saturday's normal schedule, there was something else.  I opened up blogger and I realized that all four of my posts from the last month (including my newest favorite post ) have reached the "popular posts" chart on the IBFs page.  I don't know if that's just because nobody else posts very often, but I like to think that it's because some people legitimately like reading my posts and look for...

So I Disappeared for Awhile... Here's Why - Kathleen

Hi Guys So most of you have probably noticed that I haven' posted since early February. There's a lot of reasons for this. One of them was that my grandma just passed away. I never thought that would ever happen but when they visited last, I had a feeling that it was going to be the last time I saw her. It was. The other reason is that because I was gone a lot of January I ended up being very behind on school. I had like 5 papers to write and regular school to get caught up on. I'm getting all A's so I guess I do have a little wiggle room, but I need to get A's. The other, biggest reason is because I have stress attacks. Some of you know about this some of you don't. I guess this is me opening up about something that has been very difficult for me to talk about mainly because I feel like people will just pass it off as me trying to be special or me making a big deal about my life. If you know me, you will know that that isn't how I role. So here goes. I...

Noelle - Boobs

Before I begin, I need to throw in the small side note that this is a Dear Adults post, episode four in fact.  This is not like my normal Dear Adults posts, but it has that same sort of angry sarcasm that you people seem to love.  I didn't put that in the title, however, because the title is...important.  You'll see why in a sec. Before I really get started, let's discuss: why did you click on this post?  No really, why?  Maybe you haven't clicked on it, in which case, you should...because reasons.  But really...why did this post, out of the thousands on the internet and the several weekly posts on this particular blog, catch your eye and make you go, "huh, good reading material."  Chances are, even if you are reading this, you're a little uncomfortable. "Noelle, you usually keep it PG and blah blah don't be crude," you say. "Shut up and keep reading," I snap, because I'm writing a Dear Adults post here and ain't no o...

Noelle - That Time I was a Vandal

I... I don't even have a good intro for this.  * sigh * So I've wanted to share this story for a long time, but literally every time I think of it, I get so mortified that I shove it down into the depths of my memory to be forgotten for another few months.  BUT NOT THIS TIME, OH NO.  This time I put up a reminder on my computer, so I could be reminded about it every day until my stubborn side snapped and I write this potentially embarrassing post. So yeah, here we are. I don't know if any of you remember, but at one point my dad went on a 365 Days deployment to Honduras (that means a long deployment that we couldn't accompany him on, but we could visit). If you don't know what Honduras is, well, it's south of Mexico (the base there is called the Gateway to Central America).  It's really hot and humid, and there's leaf cutter ants making super long trains that you could probably follow for miles, and there's mountains that scrape the sky.  It...
