My Recent Discoveries

Image
If y'all know anything about me You know that I spend wayyyy too much time wandering the internet like a lost soul in search of new things (usually when I just got on my laptop to work on my book draft but that's besides the point)   I've actually discovered a lot of cool things recently, and while I could share them in their own induvidual posts, I'm going to just dump them all in this post and hope for the best.  :D This is probably going to be a longer post, so let's get right to it! Let's talk blogs. This may surprise you, but I don't actually follow that many blogs.  I'm a sucker for the nerdy goodness slash geek girl therapy network that is EPBOT , and anybody whose gone back through my cringy old blog knows that I used to be absolutely in love with Sea of Shoes .  Not really my thing anymore, but if you like drooling over pretty clothes (and sO MANY SHOES) then that is for sure the way to go.  Anyway, beyond those two, I don't talk abou...

March for Life and Faith Vloggy Bloggy- Kathleen

Image
I don't actually know when I last posted.... 2 weeks ago?? Anyways, I'm back, hopefully for a while. I'm not planning on making any surprise trips anywhere for the next couple of months. So I'm doing a Vloggy Bloggy today, as you can see by the title. I could be a bit long so lets just get started. I took a class early on Tuesday morning and then we picked up the boys to drive for two whole days from Swansea, IL, to Manassas, VA. I'm sure they were thrilled to be spending all that time with us in a car. We drove all day, then stopped in Lexington, KY overnight. We slept super well, the beds were really comfy. And although we didn't bring swimwear, the pool there was HUGE! Maybe 50 meters!  But their workout room was actually kind of funny. In the pictures, they had all this cool stuff, but in real life, they had a treadmill. That was it... kind of a let down because I was TOTALLY going to use it... right? Anyways, we hit the road again the next day after...

Jillian - A Terrifying Tuesday Post

Image
Hey hey! So this Halloween was... fun... Fun! Sure fun! I mean I went to a Halloween party that my youth group hosted and didn't know anybody there so a kind hearted teacher hung out with me, I handed out candy at a trunk-or-treat to kids I didn't know, and afterwards went to a Fall Fest at my church to volunteer with, you guessed it, people I don't know.... AND 80% OF THE PEOPLE I CAME IN CONTACT WITH DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHO I WAS!! Ok, it's ok, I'm calm, I'm calm... I know I'm complaining a lot, it was an okay Halloween, it just wasn't as fun without friends that weren't adults... I guess I'm having a bad day... Anyway, onto the post!

Fall Candles Reveiw - Kathleen

Image
My love for candles has slowly become an obsession... Hello my lovelies! How are you? Doing well, I hope? Good! So recently with school being super stressful, I thought that a lot of people would be feeling it with the homework and classes, and I thought I would review some things that really help me chill. Most of these are candles. Now I know that a lot of people MIGHT be sick of my rants on smelly things. Such as candles. Although I haven't done one on perfume and fragrance mist.... But imma do it anyway!!! So here we go! Leaves by White Barn. This one burns really well. It smells a bit spicy. The description says it has notes of crisp red apple, golden nectar, and cloves spice. I can definitely smell the cloves. It has this kind of scent picture that I imagine being apple picking on a sunny fall day with a cinnamon spice donut. Can you see how much I love it? I've only had it for like 5 weeks. 2. Pumpkin Cupcake literally smells like someone is baking....

Jillian - Tumultuous Thursday

Image
Hey hey!   So, quick update, I have a speed painting filmed, music, and everything but at the moment iMovie is deciding that I want to watch/edit my video at 1/4 the speed it's supposed to be... yeah, not very happy about that... But for sort of a make up post, here is my Spotify Disney Halloween Playlist !!   Oh, and I'll give you a little sneak peek at my Halloween costume idea. Which, yes, does involve Disney (Of course!) and this year Boomer and K.C. Yay!

DIY Fall Frame

Image
Doesn't everybody love a cute frame of fall stuff? Hi lovely readers?! How are you? Lovely? GOOD, I'm glad! So I thought today I would show you a super cute easy DIY using things you can find in your own backyard! Here are the supplies: Colorful Leaves Sticks (optional) White frame White Paint (optional) Paint Brush (foam) And directions might be necessary. So first you need to collect your leaves and possible sticks. Then, if your cardboard back to the frame is brown, you can paint it white. If you want to leave it brown, you can, I just like white more. I also left mine a little streaky because I thought it looked a little cool rustic. While you are doing this step, leave your leaves in the freezer. It will essentially freeze the color in place so they won't fade as quickly. Next, arrange your leaves how you want them. I let some have over the edge of my white border, and some I tucked under. Slip the glass over. Be careful, this is the step were you c...

Color Pallettes - Kathleen

Image
I won't get into too much detail, but I have a weird obsession with interior design... Hi guys! How are you? Did you like the little thing above? Is it cool? I'm trying new ways to do intro's because sometimes they get a little boring. So, I love interior design, and color pallets are fun! So here are some of my favorite color pallets. I'm going to kind of try and put them in an organized form by room and maybe add miscellaneous. 1. Kitchen I like a pretty toned down neutral kitchen so I can add an accent color.

OK, here we are, super late... normally I would have had this scheduled like, Friday night... Great job Kathleen. Anyways! Fall is here! Almost officially! Officially on Thursday! Yay!!!!!!! So now that we have all gotten excited, I just wanted to announce something: Fall is NEVER what we excepted it to be! This fact drives me nuts. So I thought I would bring some humor to it. Dream Fall Decor and Candidly Keri

Hi! So I'm just gonna keep the fall post thing rolling because I love it! So before we start, I'm sure lots of you are aware that 9/11 was yesterday. So I just want you to take a moment (2 minutes) and think about it all. Think about how lucky we are to be alive in this world right now. If you see a police officer or a fire fighter or a doctor today, say thank you. They do a  lot for us. I was going to do How I Decorate for Fall today, but then I realized that I just light fall candles and get cozy. So I'm gonna do a list of Cool Fall Décor. Y'all seemed to really like all the photos last week so, that's that! Lets get to it! When I have my Pinterest farm house, this will be on my front porch. I pinned a Christmas one too. Super cute! If anybody cuts down a tree in our neighborhood, somehow I will get a piece of it. This one is super easy and do-able! Fake pumpkin and gold necklace from parades! I LOVE THIS! I would do it, but my walls are paint...

My Fall Essentials/Favorites - Kathleen

Image
Happy Labor Day! How is everybody?? My first week of school is over and I completely forgot about what it's like. Yeah. Most of you know how much I LOVE fall. So I decided that I would put together a list of my fall favorites/essentials. It's a bit long, but I love long blog posts so I figured you would too. Lets just jump right in! I love a cozy pair of boots. My bear claws are like slippers and they feel like I'm walking on clouds. These brown boots (I really should know who made them) are awesome too. They sound super cool on gravel. 2. Forgive my awful selfie skills, but I love sweaters. Especially my white fuzzy one, and my blue sweater/shirt thingy majigger. (Yes, I'm wearing a tank top under the white sweater. Come on guys, don't think like that) 3. Another one of my favorite things is plaid shirts. You can wear them so many different ways and they are so festive and cozy. I normally wear it with a gray scarf but I didn't now because I...
