Noelle - Day 281 (Life Currently)

Image
HIIIIIIII EVERYBODY!! How are you on this fantabulous Tuesday?  It is Tuesday, right? *frantically checks and makes sure I don't have the date wrong* Okay, yeah.  Fantabulous Tuesday. So I realized I haven't really given you guys a good update on my life in who knows how long.  Therefore...update on life! School has been a bit stressful lately, between Dead Week (3rd Quarter Exams are killer y'all) and trying to juggle my increasingly demanding hobbies (writing, blogging, 4-H, etc.) with my also demanding responsibilities.  My dad just left on a 10 week school trip (military kids know what I'm talking about) and so it's just my mom, my grandmother (say hi MawMaw!) and I chilling in the house. Although grey days are never fun, they do have fantastic sunsets...which is why I love late winter/early spring (Mom:  SHUSH YOU'RE GOING TO JINX IT)

Noelle - Day 270 (Noelle's Guide to 4H Survival)

Image
Hiiiiiii! It's Noelle, back with more strange thoughts, random stuff, and stuff about my life! So two days ago (Wednesday) regular Sod Squad started back up.  For those of you who don't know, Sod Squad is my 4-H group, we plant things.  And raised chickens (they're all grown up and vaguely mean and like 200 pounds of cute now).  And eat raw cucumbers (I'll share that story another time...maybe tomorrow)  And I mean regular like "one a week meetings". Anyway, so we had our first real summer meeting and a bunch of new people showed up, mostly younger kids between the ages of like 7-11 and ugh.  New kids in an agriculture group like ours can be hard to survive, so here is *drumroll* Noelle's De-Classified Survival Guide to Sod Squad (and all us annoying veterans that come with it).

Noelle - Day 221 (Even More Art...)

...because I'm boring. Yeah, I had NOTHING planned for today and I was just like eh whatever lets talk about art and stuff WHY NOT. Reasons. Ahem, anyway.  I've talked a lot about my fan art and stuff and exactly 96% of it has already been posted here on International Bffs, so I'm not going to harass you with repeat pictures (although I will nag you:  comment with your fan art requests!) But art.  In general.  Can we just take a step back and realize that there are people who look at a blank screen, or canvas, or paper, and see so much potential that they take hours out of their day to create something beautiful and amazing, and then share it with the world?  Can we give artists some credit? (*slowly realizes that I'm writing this on a blank screen* huh...) But seriously, artists everywhere, especially if your drawings have ever been called lame or stupid, or they've been put down because you're not finished yet or you're ignoring people to get t...

Jillian - Day 120 (Ninjaneering Club)

Image
Hey hey! So, your probably wondering, "What the heck is a Ninjaneering Club?" Well a Ninjaneering Club is what happen when your the only girl in an engineering club of boys... Anyway that's the name of my 4-H engineering club. (See Noelle, your not the only on in a cleverly named 4-H club.) Here are picture from this weeks meeting. We made contraptions to catch eggs. We dropped them from 1.0 to 1.5 to 2.0 to 2.5 meters. My team tied with another team (even though nobody "won") Surprisingly there were no scrambled eggs.

Jillian- Day 113 (SeaPerch Club)

Image
Hey hey! This post is going to be about my SeaPerch Club. (If you didn't read the title... wow JJ... good start...) Anyway, SeaPerch is a robotics program, to be more specific, it's and underwater robotics program. We build underwater robots with stuff like PVC pipe, zip ties, tape, motors and a lot of elbow grease (wait where did that saying even come from? Stay focused!) and they compete in underwater competitions. If you want to know more about SeaPerch then check out this website. Since we just started last week this is the only thing I have to post, but hopefully I can add photos of what we did every week... so... on to the post!

Noelle - Day 84 (4-H)

So I'm in a 4-H Group, right? Yes the Sod Squadians are quite a group.  We weed, plant all kinds of yummy vegetables, chop apart old plants, learn about weeds and helpful plants and bugs and soil and compost, etc.  We even eat raw plants without asking (mostly because we already know what it is...mostly).  I know, we're so rebellious. Elena, Thomas, Jarod, Ella, Jesse Melendez, Birdy, Sam, and Me!  The great Sod Squad warriors, prevailing against weeds in endless battle, every week 3 -5 P.M. Yes, my 4-H group is pretty awesome.
