Jay - Suicide Squad Movie Review!!

Hey guys!!

I decided to do a movie review for this post, since I saw a movie on Wednesday. Now, don't ask why I saw a movie on Wednesday. It was on a complete whim!

But back to the topic at hand. I'm not the biggest DC fan, and I'd much rather see a Marvel movie, if given the chance. But, since my dad was super excited to see it, I begrudgingly went with him to see Suicide Squad.

And man, were we disappointed.

(Spoilers!)

The movie is basically about this lady who groups together a bunch of villains in the hopes of making them a super hero team. The team consists of ten different people, though only eight of them are villains. The other two are there to make sure the villains don't turn on the good guys.

One of the villains is Harley Quinn, an asylum psychological therapist turned insane villain. She fell in love with the Joker, who is played by Jared Leto. Harley is played by Margot Robbie.

To be honest, Harley was one of my favorite characters. The only thing I disliked was her undeniable love of Joker. In the comics, she's seen kissing and such with Ivy, a female villain. But other than that, she was awesome.

The next villain is Deadshot,  a rip-off version of Deadpool. They're both hitman/mercenary's  and they both have matching color schemes......coincidence?

Deadshot it played by Will Smith, a very well known actor. I think he did a great job with the character, and he had to be one of my top favorites.

Next up is Killer Croc, a man who took a step or two back on the path of evolution. He eats people and animals, but is pretty chill in the movie. He's played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

(side note from Noelle: not sure if this is a Marvel rip-off, or Marvel stole DC's character.  At any rate, Killer Croc looks suspiciously like Marvel's Lizard)

And then there's, El Diablo, or just plain Diablo. He's a pyromaniac who killed his wife and kids at.....some point and time. He's played by Jay Hernandez.

There's also Boomerang, played by Jai Courtney. They don't talk about his backstory much, but he's really just an Australian thief. He's just an additional character they threw in for the sake of it, to be honest.

You don't see Slipknot for more than 20 minutes of the movie.....he dies. Oh, and he's played by Adam Beach.

Now for the good guys. First up is Katana, a badass Asian lady with a soul-stealing sword. She's played by Karen Fukuhara.

(Another side note from Noelle: I'm 1000% sure that in another life her name is Red)

Then there's Rick Flag, played by Joel Kinnaman. This guy's pretty cool and can use a gun really well. The only problem is that he's in love with the main villain......

Finally, there's Amanda Waller, the one who thought it was a good idea to turn villains into heroes. She was really, really cool and I'm kinda mad that she wasn't given a more important role.....all she did was get caught MULTIPLE times. Oh, and she's played by Viola Davis.

There're two 'villains' that the Squad has to deal with. One of them is the Enchantress, an ancient deity that tried to destroy all of humanity. And then, THE BEST PERSON IN THE WHOLE MOVIE......

THE JOKER!

Seriously, Jared Leto played this dude perfectly. And the amount of detail on his character.....*Fan girls excessively* He was awesome, guys!

~~~~~~
The movie itself was about a 4-5/10. The fight scenes were pretty cool, but the main bad guy was cliché and over-used. They didn't act like villains would have and I feel like the whole thing was half-assed (excuse my language). I wouldn't really recommend going to see it so.....go see X-Men Apocalypse instead. That's probably a much, much better movie.
And, now that I'm done reviewing the movie, I can go to sleep!! SEE YOU ALL NEXT WEEK!!
