Inklings 3
Here's another book I've been working on.
This one is defiantly a favorite of mine because I'm horse crazy
Chapter 1Silver Spark snorted, and looked off into the distance at other side of the field. Her long, white mane with shinning silver streaks in it flowed back and forth as the breeze gently wafted through it.She had never really been an anxious horse but the earily events of day was what had startled her.It was just a normal morning, Silver had gotten groomed by the stable boy, she got feed and was let out in to the field near the barn, for Silver lived on Speeding Stallion Farms. She didn't know why it was called that because she never saw any "speeding stallions", in fact, for all she knew, her schedule was just getting feed, grooming, and grazing in the pasture, to her it was very boring.By the barn Silver was grazing by the west corner when all of a sudden there was a gigantic flash of light, it was so bright Silver had to shut her eyes.As she was blinking after almost getting blinded, a shot of cold water was splashed on her muzzle.Spitting and sputtering Silver exclaimed, "What in the hayloft?!?! Is this some kind of prank, I don't-" A voice interupted her sputtering, "Oh my garlic oats!! I'm so sorry... I didn't... I mean-""No, it's ok," Silver interupted back. "Come out from behind the barn.""Ok... Let me introduce myself," a horse the same height a Silver stepped out into her view, he was a blue roan with a slightly bluer coat then most roans. He also had a striking mane and tail, they were a brilliant sky blue that was the same color as his hooves."My name is Aquarius Seafoam, of the Water Realm," Aquarius grinned, then looked at Silver, expecting her to introduce herself."My name is Silver Spark, of... the... Speeding Stallions.... Realm?" Silver stumbled, having no idea what Aquarius meant by "Water Realm".Aquarius looked confused as well,"Hmmm... I've never heard of that- wait... did you say your name was Silver Spark?""... Yes... Why?"Aquarius got a really worried look on his face like what Silver had said was wrong, " Ok, um... meet me here at 2:30.""Why?" Silver questioned, getting even more confused then before."Just do it! It's very important!""Ok, whatever you say?"Then Aquarius trotted nervously toward the fence and walked trough it like it was a water hologram. Silver blinked and shook her head, but when she looked again, the fence was just like before, solid wood.
~<>~<>~After waiting for what seemed like forever, finally Aquarius came trotting toward her doing the same thing he did to the fence earlier."How do you do that?" Silver questioned, trying not to sound impressed."There's a lot to explain, but you have to come with me," Aquarius said while anxiously pacing." Ok your wierding me out, where do I have to follow you to?""It's important that you-"Just before Aquarius could finish what he was saying, a loud bang was heard from the woods on the other side if the farm send a group of freaked out horses running away from it. The sound even made Silver and Aquarius jump a little. Then, as if on cue, a dark cloud came barreling out of the forest toward where Silver and Aquarius were standing.Aquarius yelled, " Hurry! Hurry, I have to start the portal! Get beside me!"Silver's mind was racing, as the cloud was getting closer and closer. So without question, she speedily trotted to Aquarius's side. I was kind of awkward, but Silver did it anyway, and having no time to think why because Aquarius had stomped his hoof on the ground which summoned a jet stream of water that ingulfed Silver and Aquarius. She suddenly felt like she was being rushed forward as a bunch of shots of water were going off all around her. Then out of the blue she felt one last push that landed her on solid ground and the water around her faded, she was standing in a grand room surrounding by horses and soaking wet.Chapter 2~<>~<>~"Goodness!" snorted a tall, regal mare. She was a dapple gray, and everything about her was normal excepted her spots were rainbow color! Silver couldn't believe what she was seeing, and after looking her over move she noticed right there on her back was a pair of giant, feathered wings that were folded up. Silver just stood there staring. Aquarius smirked and shouldered Silver, snapping her from the trace she felt she was in. She looked around and gawked at the size of the room. There was an assembly of tall, important looking horses all lined up in a half circle with the most important looking horse in the middle. That horse had didn't have wings on him, but he still looked like he would bite your head off if you got on his bad side. He was deffinatly the boss. The room they were in was made of pure marble, and picture of what looked like great battles with horses fighting a sorts of mythical creatures.Silver shook her head and looked at Aquarius for an answer, when she saw that right there on his forehead, comeing out of his forelock, was a long, sharp horn, and looking around even more Silver noticed that some of the horses in the half circle had wings, others had horns. She was now more confused then ever, she sputtered, " Aquarius... how... what... I....""It's ok, the council with explain after you get dry," Aquarius said, simply. All of a sudden feeling self conscious, Silver looked down at herselfand remembered she was drenched."Here I'll dry you," the dapple- rainbow mare announced, smiling." Thank y-"Before Silver had time to think, the mare snapped out her wings and started flapping them, as she did so, a great wind came shooting toward Silver all most knocking her off her hooves. As soon as the mare was done, Silver was as dry as a bone. The important horse in the middle of the half circle stomped his hoof on the ground, makeing it echo through the room."If Miss Spark would follow me please, and you too Miss Greenlawn," the boss horse started walking toward a door to the right of Silver. She followed, and so did a horse a little shorted then herself. The horse might have been a halflinger, with a chocolaty brown coat, and her very long mane and tail were mossy green with bright flowers woven through. The green color matched her hooves, just like Aquarius. The horse looked over at her and whispered, "Hey, what's your name?""Silver Spark," Silver answered."I'm Daisy Greenlawn, nice to meet you""You too."After walking a little ways longer, the three horses ending up in a room that looked exactly like the one they were in before, but this was had different paintings and was much smaller. This was obviously a private room."Welcome Miss Spark to the Gathering Realm," the important stallion announced. "I hope that you have been told what this place is and who we are.""No sir," Silver answered as regal as she could."Hmm, well I guess I will have to do it," snorted the stallion.
