Riddle Quest People!

Hi! I'm doing a thing on my blog (www.afbratlife.blogspot.com) called Riddle Quest.  It's a Quest for the prize box you'll get if you solve the riddles I post.  For a link, see the bottom of the page.  Just thought you'd want to know. -Noelle

Mincrafters Unite!

So I put together this basic list of what should be added to Minecraft (any version).  Email me (skoshimom@gmail.com) to add yours to the list - comment and tell me what you think!  Coconuts and Coconut Trees -  The trees would look like real-life palm trees (similar to Acacia trees in structure and colored like Jungle trees, with horizontal, long fern-like leaves) and spawn on beaches (sand by water, including rivers).  Coconuts would grow on them (like Coco beans in jungles) and occasionally fall - if you get hit they would take all but two lives (eight hearts).  Once harvested, use the crafting table to split a pure coconut into two parts - a coconut milk splash and a coconut shell.  However, if you harvest them (you can use an axe or a hoe easily) then you can make rough coconut milk or coconut milk.  Crafting recipe:  4x of coconut milk splashes and 2x of coconut shell (for the ‘rough’ version) OR 1x iron pail (for ‘pure’ version).  ...

Homeschooling - not what you think

I know what you're thinking. "Posting is for isolationists and hippies."  Only "special needs kids" need to homeschool.  Homeschoolers are for parents who hide their kids from the world and hide the world from their kids.  Well the fact that I am able to stand here (on my own two electronic feet) and defend homeschooling is proof that it is not for isolationists. So let's address the first and foremost objection usually assigned to homeschoolers.  And what would this be?  My preliminary findings are: "Homeschoolers need to get out more!  They shield their kids, and they end up social misfits!" Well then, you are wrong.  I have about twenty friends or so  - that are homeschooled! -  that I can count off the top of my head.  We are not isolated.  However, I am not done yet.
