Noelle - Day 238 (Survivors, Finally)
Hiya!
I don't have a ton of time, so I'm just going to go in and out.
I promised to post some of "The Survivors" today, which I haven't done in soooo long. By the way, for those of you who have finished off "The Warriors", I can send you the new-and-improved "The Survivors (RMS, Book Two) Posted Sections". The full book won't be open to the public until I'm finished (sorry!)
So anyway before I actually post the sections, I was wandering around Pinterest and realized: Jess is a lot like Whats-her-face from Big Hero 6:
“Sure.” Jess shrugged, then suddenly spun around and pinned the figure sneaking up on them against the nearest rack. “Spidey?!”

But at the same time, she's a lot like Whats-her-face from Big Hero 6:
I know...weird. This has been strange and random thoughts with Noelle. And now...to the posted sections!! (shoot me an email if you want that doc)
The Survivors (Parts 29 & 30)
“What just happened?” Sam demanded as they jogged down the sidewalk, away from the scene of chaos and destruction. The sun was setting over the distant horizon.
Jess shrugged. “I recorded Mozart’s sonic blast one time and made it into a sound-grenade. Am I original or what?”
“Yeah,” He commented. “Are they -”
“There was no other way, if that’s what you’re wondering.”
He bit his lip. This new ‘Jessica’ was tough, difficult, unreadable. Was this what Jess had been like before she had joined the team? Had she always been this way? The questions crowded in, confusing Sam even more than before.
“This way,” Jess said. They had left behind the main city and were walking through a gravel alley way, surrounded by rusty old warehouses. She seemed to know where she was going, but Sam figured it out before they even got there.
“This is where you and Luke did that mission - the one with Shadow and what’s-his-face?”
“Yeah, this is where I got punched a lot by my twin sister. And unofficially came back from the dead. I installed a safe house here years ago.”
“Years?”
Jess glared at him and kicked the panel inwards, sending it clattering across the warehouse’s concrete floor. “Yes, years. I doubt S.H.I.E.L.D. knows about this place, but there’s a small chance they’ll check here because I’ve hidden here before.”
“Years?!”
“Um, yeah. What is your issue Sam?”
“YEARS?”
She stomped her foot on the floor. A tiny groove appeared and spread out, making a line showing the way. “Let’s go,” she whispered. “And yes, I’ve already checked, there’s nobody here.”
Sam relaxed and followed her into the darkness.

Ropes hung from the crates. Hunks of rusty metal leaned against the racks. The lights flickered, showing dust and spiderwebs. Wait a minute...spiderwebs? Sam nudged Jess, accidentally bumping a box and sending it crashing to the floor. The splintering noise echoed through the building.
“Are you absolutely certain we’re alone?” He whispered, uneasy.
“Yeah,” Jess muttered, but the way she kept shifting on her toes said otherwise.
A piece of metal shifted. Sam jumped and floated, agitated, into the the air. Jess’s hands seemed greyer than usual. “Sam,” she said (semi)calmly. “Hand me the backpack.”
“Why?” He demanded, extremely quietly.
“Do as you're told,” Jess said grumpily.
Sam slowly handed her the bag. Another piece of metal shifted, this time behind him. He turned, slowly, as if they were facing a wild animal (and not random hunks of metal) and put his back up against Jess’s. “I thought you said that we’re alone.”
“And I thought that bringing you along would be helpful,” Jess snapped, carefully handing him a silver disk. “This isn’t another sound grenade, before you ask, its just a lightning one.”
“Keep it. And that hurt.”
“Sure.” Jess shrugged, then suddenly spun around and pinned the figure sneaking up on them against the nearest rack. “Spidey?!”
