Noelle - Day 229 (Special Visitor!)
Hiya!
Hi guys, its Noelle, happily being head admin of your one and only International Bffs!
You're probably wondering about the title, but before I can tell you, I have some important admin stuff for the new bloggers. In fact, if you're an author, keep reading, pretty please. I know its a lot of dreary text but just please, read it.
Okay item one of my check list - labels. Most everybody uses them to help organize their posts, but PLEASE be careful when you're creating them. Why? After all, it's not like it hurts anything. No, it doesn't, and only a limited number of labels are actually shown on our IBF page, but here's the catch. Labels cannot be deleted. I don't know why, it makes no sense, but they can't so be careful when creating them. We already have a ton, and please make sure that there's not one that already covers your subject.
Draft posts - Now that we have so many authors (somewhere around 10, I think) there are a lot of draft posts filling up our blogger dashboard. Here's some quick ground rules (and I know, I've already posted on G+ about this but pay attention anyway) If you want this post to be a draft post, i.e. unfinished, then mark it on the side in parenthesis with the word (draft). Thank you. If you're simply unsure of the Day number, you can put Day XYZ, but please figure out the day number after you schedule your post and go back in and edit it. Or I will do it for you, but I'd really rather not, which leads me to thing #3:
Scheduling Errors - so you post something, probably a 365 Day post, and then suddenly, you realize that AHH you've scheduled over somebody else's post!! Don't panic! If your post/the other post is NOT 365 Days, then stop panicking right now. Don't worry about it. If your post AND the other post are BOTH 365 Days, then stop panicking right now. Don't worry about it. I check IBFs at least once a day and will fix it. NEVER mess with another person's post, and NEVER re-schedule their post unless you are an admin. NEVER. *glares forbiddingly*
Okay that's all my meanie admin stuff. Sorry I made you read all of that. Hey! Did you just scroll past all of it?! Go read that info right now!
Anyway though, I mentioned a special visitor! Thanks to our good friends at Steve the Wimpy Dragon (wink wink), Steve! *fanfare*
That's all for today folks! Sorry for the boring admin post, don't forget to leave a comment (and go check out that link) and I hope you have a great day! :D
