Jay - Day 293 (My Brother and Some Fan-Fiction To Go)

I'm just gonna spam you guys with posts today I guess...well not really today, but today and yesterday, if these are ordered properly. But that's besides the point.
In the last post I mentioned my awesome brother Ryan. He's actually a pain at times but he's graduating so I hope he'll be more mature now.
My brother is actually my half-brother. We both share the same dad (shout out to you, Dad!) And we don't look too much alike.
All my friends say he's really handsome when I showed them a picture of him. Like, 'I-want-to-date-him' handsome. Imagine a really tall Leo Valdez with short, wavy hair and a bit of acne across his nose. There's my brother. As I mentioned, he's graduating high school and he wants to go to college for graphic design. He's actually an amazing artist, even better than me. And Elena says I am a really, really good artist.
He's really lazy but really skinny and about 6' 2. Taller than my dad at least. I only reach his midsection really. And I'm 5' 1. He also loves his computer. Loves it.

That's enough about Ryan, I just wanted to tell you about him. Have some Magnus Chase fan fiction why don't you?

WARNING!, HEART BREAK AHEAD! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Reunions and Repairs

Shock rooted me to the ground. My mind was whirling with this newfound information, while the rest of me was numb.

Me and mom thought Leo was dead. For years.

And there he was. Alive and, well, seemingly alright. He didn't look like a ghost, so this had to be real.

A few feet in front of me, Leo mirrored my look of shock. His hands shook and his hair began to smoke more than ever.

"L-Lyra??" He sounded just as shocked as me, maybe even more so. His eyes, like mine, began to water.

Unable to move, I just nodded in response. This was real.

He was real.

He rushed at me, and all I could do was stand there, watching him hurtle at me. At the time, all I could think was,
Is he trying to pile-drive me?

As soon as he reached me, he hugged me. Tightly. He even spun me once, for effect. Laughing, I hugged him back, a smile growing on my face.

"You aren't dead, cousin!"

Setting me down, he gave me a half-hearted glare.

"And why would I be? I am way too hot for that!"

Giggling, I shoved him. Per usual, he was a flirt. Even to family. Hearing a mechanical grinding noise, we remembered the reason we were here. Well, the reason Leo was here.

Festus sat in front of us, his head cocked to the side. His long, ridged tail lay curled neatly in front of two large clawed feet. All in all, he looked like a giant, scary, over-grown cat.

"Oh yeah. Forgot about you Festus! Here let me see that claw." Leo stepped forward and heaved the dragon's tail out of the way. After doing so, he began inspecting one of his feet. I followed, curious.

"So this is your pet?" I asked, confused. Because really, who wouldn't be confused about all this?
A look of shock crossed Leo's face and he spun almost all the way around. "What!? Festus is like my brother! Or best friend! Or child!"

"Oh."

After a moment of watching Leo fix his 'child', I grew bored. Luckily he finished before I got too lazy. He stood and walked over to where I had been lounging.

"We should get you back. Someone might get worried."

Leo gave me the family's signature Valdez grin before helping me to my feet. I returned said grin and followed him as we left the forest.

((So yeah, hope you enjoy! Sorry if it's not very long! I'll post some more soon!)
