Noelle - Day 272 (Even More Writing Help!)

Hello everybody!
It's your daily blogger, Noelle, arisen from the dead (I'm kidding; I know I've only been gone one day)  And I totally didn't spend my free day hollering out Disney music (apologies to our neighbors)

Anyway, I've been posting a lot of writing references and prompts lately, and people seem to like them (one of them even hit #2 on the all time top 5 post list, which you can find in the side bar >>)

So I was like "Hey look one of my posts got popular...ANOTHER" so yeah.  Here we are.  Writing another writing post.  The irony.

So um I have a bunch of funny writing stuff actually.  And then something cool.  Yep.  That's my blogging abilities.

We all know that writers do some weird stuff.  Like weird stuff.  Stuff that make us look more nuts than we really are.  Because we are nuts.  It's part of the job.  We actually do this (at least I do):

And this:

We do such strange research projects that the thought "am I being watched?  Does the FBI think I am a serial killer?  Wait, does the FBI track serial killers?  I should look that up" has actually crossed our minds multiple times.

And of course, we're always very cruel to our original characters.  Very cruel.

And we always have this horrible realization when we're writing:

Yes, us writers are nuts.  EMBRACE THE CRAZY.  BECOME THE CRAZY.  BE CRAZY.

So I promised something cool down here, so um here we go.  I have created a new Google Doc (accessible if you have any email account) called The Ultimate Writing Reference Document and I'm willing to share it.  It's a compilation of graphs/pictures, in-depth links, notes/quotes, grammar tips, and some funny stuff if you're ever feeling down.  :)

If you're interested, shoot me an email and I'll send it to you!  It's still a work in progress, but I add to it fairly often and there's a lot of helpful stuff on there!

And that's all for today, writers!  Here, warn people of our craziness with this:

I have eighteen unfinished stories.I've lost most of them though so right now I have around...five and couple are comics that I ether gave up or I can't find them. Most of the lost stories are on paper. Most. How do you lose stories on a computer?

    1. You forget to save...or you accidentally delete the document...or you just plain lose the doc...or you forget to name the doc so you're searching through eight billion "Untitled"s. It's really quite easy. I have to reorganize my drive at least once a month or I start having issues finding stuff. Like my book. (It's surprisingly easy to lose)
