Noelle - Day 29 (Apologies for Boringness)

Well, I'm back.  Again.
I just couldn't stay away (not to mention the whole thing about 365, which totally has nothing to do with the fact that I have been posting for almost 30 days straight now without stopping, with the help of my fellow bloggers).  Anyway, I've got nothing interesting for you guys, unless you count

See?  I left you in unnecessary suspense!  I love doing that!

For anyone who is wondering, the three [still] black-n-white fan art I've done is still black-n-white, as I just said.  I have apparently given on talking like a normal person.  Eggplants.  Dobby, Elsa #2, and Woody are on their way, don't worry!

Anyway, the interesting non-interesting thing that I was going to tell you about before I left you in suspense was R.M.B.S. parts 6 and 7.  For those of you who don't know, R.M.B.S. stands for "Random Marvel-Based Story".  Here are the links for the first and most recents parts.  And then here's the stuff, and now I'm outta here!  Go to go write more parts.  |:(  Also, since you are all not geeks like me (which is just sad, but anyway) there'll be photos for reference (sorry I couldn't find amazing ones, but I did my best)

Random Marvel-based Story (Parts 6 and 7)

It was not the five misfits that appeared on the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, but five heroes.  Ava vaulted out of the teleporter, pulling a white cat mask onto her face.  The rest of her team was already there - Power Man just had to pull the sunglasses of his face to become ordinary Luke, Iron Fist could become Daniel, Peter Parker would be the Ultimate Spider-Man if he would train, and...

Nova zoomed up, already in his suit and floating in mid-air.  "Well Kitty Claws?  You dragged us here, why?"
From Left to Right: Spider-man (duh), Iron Fist, White Tiger, Power Man, and (sigh) Nova

"She didn't drag you here, Sam," said a man in a trench coat.  He smiled a half-smile.  Perhaps it wasn't a half-smile, but the eyepatch over his left eye made his face look lopsided.  "I have some news for you five."

Two minutes later, the team was in an uproar.  Ava went straight up to Nick Fury and growled, "A new team member?  Why?  You don't think we're good enough?"

Fury sighed.  "No, White Tiger.  I think that you are good enough, just that you could be better.  She's going to be a valuable contribution to the team, even if she doesn't have powers."

"Wait..." Peter Parker, mask in hand, marched up and said, "You say you have a new team member."

Fury raised an eyebrow and said, "That's  right."

"She's a valuable contribution to the team," Peter continued.

"That's right."

"But she doesn't even have POWERS?!"

"That's right - and I want you to give her a chance.  She's had a hard time with teams and friends and surviving in general so go easy on her."

Peter frowned.  Ava was grumpy about it herself.  "This is the web warriors," she said.  "We go easy on her; she won't make it one night.

"Fine then," said a voice right behind her.  "If you don't think I'm good enough for you, then fight me and let's see who comes out on top."  That voice!  Where had Ava heard that voice before?

Ava turned around, slowly.  A skinny girl with flowing black hair stood in front of her.  She wore a purple and gold suit, similar to Spider Man’s, but with a mask that only covered part of the face.  She was clearly mad.

“Dragon...” The director said in a warning tone.  “I don’t want to build another helicarrier.”

At these words, the new girl seemed to calm down.  Nick nodded, satisfied, and turned to the web warriors.  “I’ll leave you guys to figure this out amongst yourselves.  If you don’t want her on the team, you make a decision as a team.”  With those parting words he walked away, leaving the six teenagers glaring at each other in the center of the training hall.

“Fine, punk,” White Tiger said.  “You want a fight?  I’ll give you a fight!”

The new hero said nothing, just nodded.  The rest of the team backed away - clearly White Tiger was ferocious.

Ava attacked!  A simple kick to the head, followed by three punches to the stomach and this kid would run screaming back to her mommy.

*******

The ‘kid’ in question stood motionless until White Tiger’s kicking foot was an inch from her head.  The girl dodged it easily and ducked under the kick, grabbing Tiger’s ankle.  “Sloppy,” she commented, slamming the white-suited girl against the wall.

Tiger growled, and attacked again.  The girl dodged Ava’s furious punches like they were in slow motion and dived under Tiger’s legs, pulling her feet out from under her.  She kicked Tiger in the back, adding, “Careless.”

The teenage girl winced as she stood, but she was still fighting.  She’s good, the new hero thought to herself.  But not good enough.  White Tiger climbed to her feet, slashing her hands through the air.  A sizzling sound filled the air - she had powered up the electric claws.  “Oh please,” the new girl said with an infuriating smile.  “Fighting isn’t clockwork, it’s a dance.  Your tools will only be used against you in a real battle.”

At these words Tiger charged, thinking she had the upper hand.  Iron Fist was ready to pounce from behind.  “A well-placed trick,” the new girl said.  She did a beautiful flip above Danny’s head, kicking him in the stomach as she landed.  He flew back and hit White Tiger.  They landed against the wall with an bam.

“For a newb,”  The girl finished.  “Woah!”  Spider-man’s web shot past her face, so close that she could hear the woosh.  Unfortunately, it hit the dazed White Tiger and Iron Fist.  “Here!”  She grabbed onto the string and swung the two around.  “You forgot this!”

Spider-man, Tiger, Iron Fist, and Power-man all landed in a heap in the corner.  “Oh, how sweet!”  The girl held up Spider-man’s left glove with a smile.  “You left me a present.”

“Not so fast!”  Nova zoomed into the air, ready to attack.  He powered up his beams and shot at the new girl, who flipped out of the way.  “I’m still standing.”

“Technically, you’re flying,” the girl said nonchalantly.  “Allow me to fix that, bucket head.”  She jumping into the air, spinning and WHAM!  Nova joined his teammates in the corner.  “Oh I’m sure you want this back, Spider.  Here!”

She webbed them all, leaving them sticky and sore.  “Am I good enough now?”
