Noelle - Day 69 (Hands)

Hands?
Hands you say?  What in the world am I talking about - well I'll tell you.  I did some ink sketches of hands, and I felt like I absolutely totally must show them to you, along with two really really good ones I found on Pinterest (as usual, Pinterest comes first).  Also, why not throw an R.M.S. part or two in there - a recipe for an awesome disaster post!  :)

I mean like...wow.  Wow.  Click the link below to see more.

I can't do anything that good - even if I actually spent time on it (which I rarely do)

And now, for the ones I did - reeeeelaaax, I may be awesome, but I'm not that awesome.  Besides, these are only sketches - not drawings.  And yes, there is a difference.  Stop doubting me.

These are all in ink (no pencil at all) just plain out old ink, which is how one can truly give an artist a heart attack - what do you mean I can't erase it???  Gah!  Also, they are on just composition notebook paper, because a) my sketchbook is almost full (again) and b) I'm too broke to buy another one so composition notebooks it is!  I hop you don't mind too much.
Yes yes I know, I'm so nerdy.  Shush.

I included my bracelet because I do love my bracelet so much.  People are starting to ask if I ever go out without it (Hint: no)

This one's not very good, so I made it small in the hopes that you wouldn't notice it.  However, if you think that it is good, you can click on it to enlarge it.

Well, I did promise.  Ok, ok, I'll post some R.M.S. for you nerds.  I hope you enjoy it!

Random Marvel-based Story (Part 32) {holy cow that's a lot of writing I did}

“Who ever this specific person is, they’re not talking about prisoners they have now.  Nobody is going to die,” Jess said confidently after a few minutes of utter silence.  Nova scowled.

“How are you so sure, huh?”  Sam growled, adding, “How do we even know that we can trust you now?  You didn’t tell us about anything!”

Luke frowned, putting a heavy hand on Nova’s shoulder to calm him (he only sniffed pointedly and pulled away)  “I trust you Jess, but disappear like that again and you and I are going to have a word.”

“It won’t happen again if I can help it,” Jess said flatly.  “I had to get answers, but it wasn’t by choice.  I personally don’t like having to disappear.”

Danny noticed the sting in Jess’s voice.  “I sense you have not told us everything,” he said, standing up.  “What are you still hiding?”

Despite herself, Jess smiled.  It was, of course, the wrong time to, but she smiled all the same.  “If I’m hiding something, then that’s not your problem is it?  You’re not the one with five angry teenage superheros at her throat, not to mention-” she pointed at the door.

BAM!!!  The security door shook, rattling the interior of the training hall.  BAM!!!  The walls shook again.  “That,” Jess finished with an even wider grin.  “Computer, cancel security protocols.  And you five, brace yourself.”

The doors slid away, and Nick Fury, angrier than any of the team had ever seen him, stalked in, steam nearly coming out of his ears.  “I swear...” He growled, “If you ever - and I mean ever! - pull a stunt like that again - I swear - I will end you!”

“Aw Nick,” Jess said with a hint of fondness that was usually reserved for small children and puppies.  “That’s what you said last time!”

The director of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s frown only deepened.  “I will,” he said grumpily.  “I could do it right now, if you prefer a quick death.”  He slowly pulled out a S.H.I.E.L.D. energy gun.

To all the teams surprise, Jess only grinned.  “Oh Lake,” she said, cursing for a single moment before sidling into a fighting stance.  “How did I not see this before?  You’re so uncreative, that’s how!”

She slid under Nick Fury’s punch easily, darting behind him and reaching for his neck.  With a final yank, before Fury could react, she pulled a tiny robot away from the base of the collar of his trench coat.  Nick collapsed to his knees, then onto the floor, limp.

“You killed him!”  Sam blurted out, pointing an accusing finger at her.  Spider-man rolled his eyes and strolled up to Jess.

He pointed at the robot that she still had clutched in her hand.  “What is that?  Some kind of mind-control device?”

Jess shook her head, frowning, and sat down on the ground with a thump.  “Its an ABD - an Anger Booster Device.  I designed this too, but it was never created.  Nick Fury himself deemed it too dangerous.  The basic idea is that it would attach itself to a target and boost all the chemicals that cause rage.”

“Fury was strong enough to control it still, which means that it was planted in the past 24 hours at least.  I’m thinking about ten hours - Fury has a fairly strong mind,” Jess explained exhaustedly, laying down on the ground.  “Someone planted this, some one fast and smart enough to break into S.H.I.E.L.D. unnoticed.  That’s our target.”

“You’re bleeding,” Danny commented benignly, kneeling next to her.

“I told you,” Jess said with a dismissive wave.  “I got some injuries while out on a mission.  Highest clearance level - can’t tell you anymore details.”

“I trust that,” Danny said.  Jess pretended not to notice, but the word trust stung more than any of the other’s angry words.  Danny was the most hurt by this - he was the only one who thought he really knew her, and here she was, stabbing him in the back with the truth.  She winced with a pain that had nothing to do with the cuts on her legs and side.

“Alright, enough with the fun times,” Jess said, pulling herself up by Danny’s shoulder.  “I’ll stay on the team, if you guys will stop accusing me of blowing up the world.  At least until this whole mess gets cleared up - and if it’s like last time, it’s going to take a few months.  I need you guys to trust me, because if you don’t, they’ll rip me and my team apart again, and none of you will be alive to tell it.”

Nick Fury’s words echoed in his mind as Spider-man wearily sat down to try to take this all in.  She’s had a hard time with teams and friends and surviving in general, so go easy on her.  “Ok,” he said, making everybody jump.  “I’m in.”

Alright everybody, I would love to stay, but I can't. See you tomorrow (and I hope you enjoy this week's post of "Wreck this Journal Wednesdays") Bye! Buh bye now!
