Noelle - Update On Life and Christmas-y Stuff

Hi everybody!
I've got a lot of material to cover in one blog post, because I'm a terrible procrastinator who puts off everything from essays that could literally cause me to fail my entire course and potentially not allow me into college to blog posts that I enjoy and love to create, and I've been putting off writing posts that actually talk about stuff I'm interested in and just...yeah.  I don't even need an intro, that was an intro all in one go.

Okay, so.

Update On Life:

I used to do all kinds of interesting things, like, I dunno, What My Life Is Like posts and just interesting little tidbits like that (that's literally just a random link to my old blog)  I'd say that changed when International BFFs started up, because more people were viewing it and it wasn't exactly a personal blog anymore.  Not that anybody would be mad at me for doing more personal posts, and I don't really feel the need to do personal posts anymore, but idk.  Sometimes I look back at my old blog (which is AF Bratlife, for y'all new-comers, don't believe the title.  Towards the end I tried to start a business and utterly failed in every conceivable way, which is why it's called "Lemon Z Crafts")

It's AF Bratlife, okay?!

*is defensive over something that I chose to change*
Anyway, sometimes I look back at my old blog, at posts like The Quiet Time and Magic, and I miss writing posts like that - just deep, inner thoughts that I want to share with the world.  However, my blogging style has really evolved and changed over the past four years (that's right, I started blogging when I was eleven.  You think I'm young now, but dang was I a little chubby-cheeked baby...and will probably be saying the same thing my freshmen year in college...and when I graduate...and for the rest of my life).

At any rate, I miss doing 'what my life is like' posts, or 'life updates', or whatever the heck the internet has labelled them today.  So I dunno, I'm not going to slack off on doing posts like Dear Adults, which has been accepted with open arms by the internet both young and old, or tutorial posts like "What to do when an essay says screw you" (no, really, that's the post title), but I think that I could do a few more personal posts about what the heck is actually happening on the other end of the screen.

END TANGENT.  Ahem.

So anyway, what have I been up to recently?

As you might have guessed....a lot.  During the fall, things really start getting busy for my family, because school starts becoming an actual thing and not just 'la-dee-dah, first quarter, no problemo'.  Now, the grades really matter, and if you screw up a quiz now, you can pretty much throw away your future (jk.  But stressing over homework is now a daily routine.  So is procrastination)

We visited the St. Louis zoo a while back, which was awesome (of course), and then much more recently, we went to the St. Louis art museum, which was just as awesome if not more (despite the experience I described in this episode of Dear Adults)  Since I've been taking a college-level art class (I don't think I get credit for it tho.  I'd have to ask Mom), I can appreciate any form of art a lot more than I could, say, six months ago.  Still, I get confused when I see something like this:

(I have no idea who's artwork this is, sorry.  Credit to you, good sir/her/it)
Like...what.  I get that you're expressing yourself, but I think there's a very fine line between expressive art work and just waving around black ink until somebody says "heyyy, I'll pay you a couple million bucks for that".  I dunno, it makes me sad when I see stuff like this in art meusams while there's thousands of amazing artists who having been discovered yet *waves hand* I happen to be one of them.

If you're even reading at this point, comment "sup" below.  I just want to see if any of you actually read this :P

Anyway, to all those artists: I feel ya.  Stick with it.  I believe you.

Steve believes in you.

...this post is really just one big link, isn't it.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the art meusam.  Meusam?  Wait no.  Muesam.  MUSEAM.  HOW IS IT SPELLED.  *googles* Museum.  It's spelled museum.

My Thanksgiving break was recently - how was y'all's Thanksgiving?  Good, I hope.  I never really liked Thanksgiving (I think I actually talked about why last year, before I started throwing up.  T-Day 2015 was not fun for our family)  Anyway, this year wasn't too bad, because we were pretty informal about it and just did fun stuff, like eat bacon-wrapped smoked turkey and soy-sauce flavored green beans.  So much better than yams and cranberry sauce (we did have both of those dishes, but for the first time, I was not forced to gag them down.  Yeasssss)

Other news: Mom and I have started a business.  If you didn't know this (????) you can see our website at www.weewonderlings.blogspot.com.  Or if you have Facebook, look up wee wonderlings.

I've been dragged kicking and screaming (not really) into several new fandoms:

Hamilton.

Thanks guys.

I totally needed to become emotionally attached to people who have been dead for 200+ years.  AND PEGGY.
Anyway, I've also joined the Avatar: the Last Avatar fandom (ZUKO AGH) and now the Legend of Korra.  No spoilers for Korra, I've only seen the first two seasons (so far.  Maybe I'll watch more after I finish writing this monster of a blog post)

So yeah.  That was my realllllllly long update on life.  Now for my Christmasy Stuff:

I'm looking at the All-Powerful Calendar, on which the Super Organized, OCD and Over Achieving Mother has recorded literally everything, and assuming that I write a post every Saturday between now and Christmas, I have three posts that I can do.  I was thinking, instead of doing my usual boring stuff, I'll do some challenges...or something.  Next week, I'll do a post called "things you probably don't know about me", where I'll just talk about stuff that...well, I don't talk about on my blogs.  :D

As for the 17th and the 24th:  those are up to you guys!!  Tell me in the comments what kind of challenge or interesting post you want me to do!  And...yeah, that'll be my Christmas gift to my international bffs ;)  (I'll be also putting up a post on G+, so if you're on there, you can comment on there)

Sooooooooooo...I know this blog post is really long, but I REGRET NOTHING.  So yeah.  Bye y'all!!  Comment with those post requests and I'll see what I can do!!!  Sorry for making you read this (you probably didn't lol...and I'll have proof...ehehehehe)  ANYWAY, bye!!  I hope you have a great week!!!
