Noelle - Day 142 (Just Some RMS)

HOLA!!!
I have literally nothing interesting going on today, so here, have some RMS and be happy.  :P

The Survivors (Part 2)

“JARVIS, wake up Tony,” Jess said as they walked in the front door of the Tower.

“Yes ma’am,” the computer program replied, sounding very much like a british butler and not a computer program.  “Would you like me to wake the kids up as well?”

“Yes please.”

They walked down the hall while Nova practically bounced off the walls in excitement.  “Does this mean that we get to spend to WHOLE DAY here?  Like, in the real, live Avengers Tower?!”

Jess grinned and pressed her hand against a keypad.  “Yes, Sam, that means you get the whole day to dedicate to fangirling.  Congratulations.  I, on the other hand, have to babysit an idiot...well, and Danny.”  Her password was accepted and they slid into the elevator.

It wasn’t until the screen had clicked over to the seventh floor that Nova suddenly burst out, “Wait a minute....HEY!”

She smiled and the doors opened.  “ASTRA!!! GET YOUR BUTT OUT OF BED!!”  She howled, making the two boys jump and a small girl standing by the kitchen sink snicker.

“You know, you don’t have to yell.  She’s actually out of bed, but still hogging the bathroom.  Something about mascara,” The girl said cheerfully, tossing her purple curls like the ultimate sass expert.  “Have you had breakfast?”

Jess yawned and jumped onto the ceiling, using her stone powers to hold her in place.  Danny remained unfazed Jess’s sudden change in gravity and said, “Mirage, I’m assuming.”

The girl, who couldn’t have been older than eleven, nodded and tossed her hair again, changing it in a smooth ripple from purple to lime green with red streaks.  “Yep, I’m Mirage, Clara’s annoying little sister.”

“No,” Jess corrected from the ceiling, “Astra’s the annoying one.”

Another girl, somewhere around thirteen, stalked in.  She was wearing all black leather and had tied up her curly brown hair into a messy bun with an orange band.  Her spiked boots clicked every time they hit the ground and she brought a cloud of grumpy funk in with her, which made Nova slowly float into the air with a raised eyebrow.  “Yeah yeah yeah,” she grunted, frowning from behind eyeshadow and a particularly goth shade of lipstick, “I’m the annoying one.”  She sat down with a plop at the dining room table, where a pitcher of milk poured itself into a glass.

“Really, you’re that lazy?”  Jess asked, frowning sternly.

Astra glanced at her, then at her two guests.  “Hey, it’s one of my better mornings, siss.”  She promptly pulled out a textbook on metaphysics and buried herself in it without another word.

Her older sister rolled her eyes and walked off on the ceiling, disappearing into the pantry and returning with another packaged granola bar.  She flipped back into normal gravity and ruffled Mirage’s hair.  “How’s school?”  She asked fondly.

“Meh.” The green-haired girl poured a purple goop into a cup and took a sip.  “BLARG?!  Da heck, Hawkeye said this would taste good!”

Nova grinned from the living room, where he was poking anything and everything that interested him.  “Yeah, don’t trust Hawkeye’s taste when it comes to food.”

At this, Jess raised an eyebrow as well.  “Debateable,” she said calmly and snatched the glass away from her little sister.  “Oi, Danny, organic smoothie?”

“Sure,” Iron Fist responded absentmindedly, reading over Astra’s shoulder.  He took a sip of the purple goop in question and then just kept on drinking.  “This is really good, what’s in it?”

Mirage rolled her eyes, her hair rippling to a scarlet red.  “You don’t want to know,” she said mysteriously.  “Where’s Mozart?”

“Three guesses,” Astra groaned, closing her textbook with a snap.

They looked at each other.  “TONY!!!”  The three sisters yelled in tandem.
